yesterday;

Have you ever heard that song by the Beatles? "Yesterday, All my troubles seemed so far away, Now it looks as though they're here to stay, Oh, I believe in yesterday. " That song, just gets to you. For me, I hear it, and it's like a man confessing on how the world just seems to slip through our fingers. It's so vast and here we can't slow it down enough to sort through our problems, like sorting through paperwork.

We all regret things we do, and wish we could go back, but I wonder if that is really better. There are somethings you'd definately vote "yes" on, such as accidently killing someone or not saying "goodbye" or "I love you" to someone before it was too late. But don't these experiences, as well as accidents, teach us for future references? I know that they are something we might have tried to avoid in the past, and will continue to try and avoid, but such things as running around in the house, and breaking a vase, you learn never to do again. Isn't it our experiences and our lessons learned that molds our maturity? More like the willingness to accept our mistakes and put them to our guidebook of living our lives.

Regardless, I still think that the mistakes we make, our embarassing and horrible because they are just mistakes, but also that they are supposed to leave a little dint in our minds, reminding us of what we have done and what not to do when we are older. They are little reminders, such as old tact marks in a tactboard for reminders. I do regret mistakes I've made, but not because of the lessons I've learned, I just wish we could learn lessons well enough to not have the mistake needed in the first place.
